Marijn Van Den Berg wins the fourth stage of the Volta a Catalunya from Sort to Lleida (169.2km) in a sprint.

De Gendt, Andersen and Berrade attempted to escape in the early stages of the race, but were absorbed by the group about thirty kilometers from the end.

The group is thus set to compete for the sprint stage victory which, in all likelihood, will be the only one in the short Spanish stage race.

Geraint Thomas works well for Hayter in the last kilometres, Coquard tries to anticipate the sprint, but it is Van Den Berg who comes out at the right time and takes the victory, ahead of Marit and Liepins.
