Magnus Cort won the third stage of the Volta Algarve, from Faro to Tavira of 203km. The Dane, who consolidates his lead in the general classification, brought forward the group sprint after an action in the last 20 km carried out together with Filippo Ganna , Thomas Pidcock, Valentin Madouas, Tobias Foss and Rui Costa.

The six were practically caught 400 meters from the finish but Cort, with a very long sprint, managed to get the better of Ganna, second, and Jordi Meeus third.
