Tadej Pogacar wins the first stage of the 179km Vuelta a Andalucia from Puente de Génave to Santiago de la Espada.

Great action by the Slovenian who, after an excellent job by his teammates from the UAE Team Emirates, goes off alone with 12 km to go and makes a vacuum.

Only Buitrago , initially, managed to stay on Pogacar's wheels, only to give up after a few hundred meters while Mas , Landa and Carlos Rodriguez , didn't immediately keep up with the Slovenian's pace.  

Second place goes to Landa, ahead of Rodriguez and Buitrago, while Mas breaks away due to a chain problem in the last kilometres.
