Kaden Groves won the 17th stage of the Vuelta a España, from Arnuero to Santander, 141.5km.

A quiet stage for the men in the general classification, then space for the day's breakaway with four men, caught less than 10 km from the finish line, and then the final sprint in the rain which saw the Alpecin rider beat Pavel Bittner and obtain his third stage victory in this Vuelta.

Ben O'Connor remains at the top of the overall standings which does not change in the top positions.
