Ethan Vernon remporte la quatrième étape du Tour de Catalogne , longue de 151 km, reliant Mataró à Camprodón , une étape raccourcie par les organisateurs en raison des conditions météorologiques.  

Le coureur britannique de NSN a devancé au sprint Dorian Godon (Ineos Grenadiers) et Thomas Pidcock (Q 36.5). La quatrième place est revenue à Brandon McNulty , qui a tenté un sprint dans les derniers mètres et a terminé devant Magnus Cort Nielsen .

Le premier Italien à franchir la ligne d'arrivée fut Alberto Dainese, qui termina huitième. Au classement général, Dorian Godon conserve la tête avec 13 secondes d'avance sur Tom Pidcock et 14 secondes sur Remco Evenepoel .
