Geraint Thomas vince il Giro di Romandia 2021. Il gallese, dopo la sfortunata caduta di ieri nei metri finali, si piazza terzo nella cronometro finale e rifila 54'' a Michael Woods, partito in maglia di leader. 

Remi Cavagna conquista, invece, la vittoria di tappa, precedendo di 6'' lo svizzero Stefan Bissegger e di 11'' proprio Thomas. Tra gli italiani ottimo risultato per Fausto Masnada che strappa il sesto tempo a cronometro e si piazza terzo in classifica generale subito dietro a Richie Porte (secondo). Bene, nella tappa finale anche l'altro azzurro della Deceuninck Quick Step, Mattia Cattaneo, giunto settimo (dodicesimo nella generale), mentre delude Filippo Ganna, decimo a 37'' da Cavagna.
