Seixas yields only on Roche-aux-Faucons
Tadej Pogacar wins Liège-Bastogne-Liège, his fourth Monument Classic (259.5 km).
The race exploded with a crash after just 2 km, with a 60-man group including Evenepoel taking the lead. From behind, the UAE team took over the pursuit and managed to finish with 100 km to go.
On the following Cotes the group is divided into around forty riders who remain in the group.
On the Redoute Pogacar attacks and with him only Seixas remains.
Everything was decided on the Roche aux Faucons , with the Frenchman resisting the world champion's initial attacks, but giving up 500 metres from the summit.
Pogacar thus sprinted to yet another solo triumph, with Seixas finishing second. Evenepoel led the pack in a long sprint and took third place.
