Jonas Vingegaard wins the seventh stage of the Giro d'Italia, from Formia to Blockhaus (244 km).

In the early stages, a rather dangerous breakaway was made with Naberman, Van der Lee, Milan, Sevilla and Zukowsky.

At the start of the Blockhaus, Red Bull set the pace and closed in on the breakaway. Then Visma pulled away with Kuss and Piganzoli, and Vingegaard attacked with 6 km to go.

After a couple of kilometres the Dane also overtook Pellizzari , the last one to resist.
Vingegaard wins alone, ahead of Gall by 13" and Hindley by over 1'.
