Julian Alaphilippe vince la seconda tappa della Itzulia Basque Country, da Lietza a Viana di 207,6 km. Gran lavoro nel finale da parte di Remco Evenepoel (nono al traguardo) che nell’insidioso finale lancia alla perfezione il campione del mondo che non sbaglia lo sprint. 

Secondo posto per l’altro francese Fabien Doubey (Total Direct Energies) mentre terzo si piazza il belga Quinten Hermans (Intermarché Wanty Gobert).

In classifica generale Primoz Roglic resta leader della classifica generale, con 5" di vantaggio su Remco Evenepoel e 16" su Remi Cavagna.
