Pfeiffer Georgi wins the women's Brugge-De Panne . The British athlete of Team DSM reaches the finish line alone ahead of the Italian champion Elisa Balsamo and the Dutch Lorena Wiebes .

Fourth place for another athlete of Team DSM, the American Megan Jastrab , immediately ahead of the Belgian Shari Bossuyt .  

After a race characterized by strong winds and crashes (one also involved the Italian Letizia Paternoster , who was forced to retire), six remain in the lead: Balsamo, Georgi, Wiebes, Jastrab, Bossuyt and the Danish Dideriksen .

About five kilometers from the conclusion, Georgi takes advantage of the numerical superiority of Team DSM in the leading group and extends. Teammate Jastrab didn't cooperate, while the others were unable to reach an agreement and left the British rider with enough of an advantage to finish alone at De Panne's finish line.  

Elisa Balsamo wins the sprint of the group, with some regrets, while another Italian, Chiara Consonni , wins the sprint of the chasing group and she finished in ninth place (in front of Ilaria Sanguineti , tenth).
