Roglic and Adam Yates at the Giro, Pogacar towards the Vuelta

As the days pass, the decisions of the big names for the 2025 season emerge.

Tadej Pogacar has a very respectable calendar: he will start racing at the UAE Tour in February and then focus on Strade Bianche, Sanremo, Flanders and Ardennes. Before the Tour de France he should also do the Dauphiné. Giro or Vuelta? More likely an assault on the Spanish race that will be presented on December 19 (the Giro only in January).

Jonas Vingegaard is certain to be at the next Tour de France, while his participation in the Giro d'Italia remains uncertain, where Primoz Roglic is certainly waiting for him, having made it official that he will be at the start. The Slovenian will try to win his second pink jersey before competing in the Tour de France.

Obviously Remco Evenepoel must wait for his full recovery after the fall in training. The Olympic champion is expected to return in April, in time for the Ardennes. It is unlikely that he will be at the Giro, while the Tour de France is certain.

Wout Van Aert and Mathieu Van der Poel are focused on cyclocross, which will see them as protagonists during the winter (but only in a few races). Instead, Mads Pedersen is sure to be present at Paris-Nice, Sanremo and, of course, the most important Northern classics.

UAE Emirates and Red Bull Bora hansgrohe have already announced much of their plans: Adam Yates and Juan Ayuso will be at the Giro d'Italia, while Joao Almeida will race in the Algarve, Nice and the Basque Country before joining Pogacar at the Tour de France.

At Red Bull, Dani Martinez and Jay Hindley will be alongside Roglic at the Giro and Aleksandr Vlasov at the Tour de France.
