Kooij second, Milan out of top ten
Tim Merlier won the European Cycling Championships held today, September 15, in Hasselt, Belgium, over the distance of 222 km.
Path that does not make selection: Mads Pedersen and Mathieu Van der Poel try several times but without success. Denmark is the team that often tries to attack with different men but the Italian national team closes all attempts to escape.
It seems like the right opportunity for Jonathan Milan, but the latter remains closed just as the sprint starts. The strongest is Merlier who overtakes Olav Kooij and Madis Mihkels and becomes European champion.
Milan finished in 13th place.
