Stefan Kung won the fifth and final stage of the Volta Algarve, a 24km individual time trial starting and finishing in Lagoa.

The Swiss of Groupama Fdj, who finished with a time of 29'34", preceded Remi Cavagna and Filippo Ganna. Fourth   Daniel Martinez , who manages to maintain a lead of only two seconds over Ganna in the general standings.

On the podium, together with the Colombian from Ineos Grenadiers, teammate Ganna and Ilan Van Wilder (Soudal Quick Step) climb.
