The Dane also wins on the Croix de Fer

Jonas Vingegaard won stage seven of the Tour du Dauphiné, from Porte-de-Savoie to the 147.9km Col de la Croix de Fer.

At the end of the tough stage with an uphill finish at 2,066 metres, after having also climbed the Col de la Madeleine and the Col du Mollard, the Jumbo rider Visma got ahead of Adam Yates and Jay Hindley .

The Dane, who consolidates his lead in the general classification, detached everyone 5 km from the finish line: Yates, Hindley and O'Connor defended themselves, all arriving more than 40 seconds behind. The superiority of the last Tour de France winner was, once again, clear.
