Intense week for cycling and fantasy cycling as we get to the heart of the northern classics, breathing in the smell and atmosphere of the pavé. After the Gent-Wevelgem it is the turn of the Dwars door Vlaanderen , a real starter of the Tour of Flanders (scheduled for Sunday 3 April.

The protagonists are ready to put on a show and, apart from Wout Van Aert , they will practically all be at the start of the Dwars.  

One of the obligatory favorites at this point, becomes Mathieu Van der Poel : the Dutchman has not raced much at the start of the season, but has shown that he is already very strong with the third place at the Milan-Sanremo and the stage victory of the Week . Coppi and Bartali . Another element of the Alpecin-Fenix to keep an eye on is Jasper Philipsen , who in a tough race, but not too hard, could play his cards.

At Ineos Grenadiers the star man should be Dylan Van Baarle , winner of the last edition and already in good shape at the start of the season. Question mark about Tom Pidcock who has recovered from some physical problems and shouldn't be 100%. But be careful, the Brit will also race the Ardennes classics and therefore could be a good element to buy, in your Fantacycling team, also in perspective: you can carefully evaluate his condition at the Dwars.  

Then there will be the phenomenon Tadej Pogacar , who in this 2022 also aims straight for the victory of the Tour of Flanders . This race could be a kind of test for him, but we know that when the Slovenian takes to the streets he never does it to be an extra (almost an obligation to have him in the team).  

Then there is the Quick Step with Lampaert , Ballerini and Jakobsen as the most interesting names; we will see if they are the right men to reverse a not too positive course for the Wolfpack at the start of the season.  

The Jumbo Visma , without Van Aert , should rely on the experience of Tiesj Benoot , waiting to understand if Dekker and Kooij will have the legs to keep on the insidious Flemish walls.

Watch out also for Mads Pedersen for Trek-Segafredo or experts Greg Van Avermaet and Oliver Naesen ( AG2R Citroen ), Stefan Kung ( Groupama FDJ ) and Alexander Kristoff ( Intermarché Wanty Gobert ).

Among the pure sprinters there are Dylan Grownewegen and Sam Bennett , not very favorites in such a course, while in your team you could focus on runners like Victor Campenaerts ( Lotto Soudal ), I van Garcia Cortina (Movistar).

An outsider? Jan Tratnik of Bahrain Victorious , ninth in the Milan-Sanremo and possible protagonist also in this circumstance.
