Here's how it will be awarded to teams during the race
The collaboration between Fantacycling and the Giro E, starting next Saturday, has given birth to the ' Social Jersey ', which will be assigned to the Teams in rotation to promote social activities within the unique e-bike experience of its kind worldwide and which takes place during the days and on the roads of the Giro d'Italia.
We remind you that the 2023 edition includes 20 stages, with a daily distance between 70 and 100 kilometres. The time trial stages are also held, which in the Giro-E become regularity trials.
Each fraction is covered in a compact group, except for some stretches, where all the participants face regularity tests and special tests with their own team. In the final stages of each stage, however, the team captains are engaged in the "exhibition" sprint test before the finish line.
The ranking of the Social Jersey will be drawn up thanks to the points and bonuses that each captain and/or each individual team member will be able to earn on the day they wear the jersey.
To obtain the bonuses, valid for the purposes of the ranking, the social content (stories or posts) must be published by visibly tagging the @giroitaliae and @fantacycling_official profiles and using the official contest hashtags #giroesocial and #fantacycling , in addition to the of the #giroe event.
The Team that, at the end of the last stage, will have scored the most points wins; the updated ranking of the Social Jersey will be published on the two rest days of the Giro E (Monday 15 and 22 May 2023) on the Instagram pages of @fantacycling_official and @giroitaliae .
The final ranking will be published in the same way on Sunday 28 May 2023.
