Filippo Ganna and his companions go as fast as Marcel Jacobs , and make Italy dream. The blue quartet in the team pursuit in Tokyo sets the new world record with the phenomenal time of 03: 42: 307. Simone Consonni , Francesco Lamon , Jonathan Milan and Filippo Ganna , earn the Olympic final by just beating the strong New Zealand with a heart test, made up of continuous overtaking and counter-overtaking, up to the last two final laps: here the Ganna locomotive is leads the team to success and the dream of a gold medal.

Tomorrow morning at 11:06 Italian time, we will all be cheering for our Azzurri, committed against the very strong Denmark , who won the final by beating Great Britain , despite an accident in the final race. The Danish Madsen, head down, hit the British Charlie Tanfield right when the Danes were about to round their opponents. The British crossed the line with three riders, while the Danes only with two, but in the end the jury still awarded the victory to Denmark.  

It will be tough, because before the collision the Danes had an even better time projection than the Azzurri, but nothing is precluded.  

The medal is already sure, but our quartet has crumbled the previous Italian record of 03: 46: 513 and in the final they could even find the push to improve even more. A bit like Marcel Jacobs did in the 100m: the man who proved to everyone that dreams can really come true.
