Four-way sprint: Ferrand-Prevot and Lippert defeated

Lotte Kopecky wins the women's Tour of Flanders, 168.9 km.

The first twist was unfortunately the fall of Elisa Longo Borghini and her consequent withdrawal, 96 km from the finish.

Among the favourites, none of them attacks in person until 15 km from the finish line, with the group, however, thinning out wall after wall. At the approach of the Oude Kwaremont , 17 remain in front and, at the top , Kopecky, Ferrand-Prevot, Lippert and Niewiadoma remain in the lead.

On the Paterberg none of the quartet manages to gain an advantage, but the margin over the pursuers increases.

The final victory was decided by a sprint with Kopecky starting first, holding on and triumphing ahead of Ferrand Prevot and Lippert .
