Tim Merlier won the first stage of the Tour of Poland with start and finish in Poznan of 183.7 km. The Soudal Quick Step rider is the first leader of the general classification.

The stage ended, as predicted, in a sprint: behind Merlier was Olav Kooij of Jumbo Visma. Third Fernando Gaviria (Movistar).
