Preceded Dekker and Groves in the sprint
Jonathan Milan won the second stage of the Giro d'Italia, the 202km Teramo-San Salvo.
The Bahrain Victorious rider proceeded ahead of Arkea's David Dekker and Alpecin's Kaden Groves.
The first breakaway of the pink race was taken up by the group just over 30 km from the finish line: among the protagonists were Thomas Champion, Mattia Bais, Stefano Gandin, Paul Pereira (leader of the KOM jersey) and Alessandro Verre.
Then the sprint preceded by a fall -4 from the finish line: Milan surprises the day's favorites with an exceptional sprint.
Remco Evenepoel keeps the pink jersey. Jay Vine, Jack Haig, Tao Geoghegan Hart and Thibaut Pinot lose a further 19 seconds in the standings due to the crash.
