Pinot second, the general classification does not change
Einer Rubio (Movistar) won stage 13 of the Giro d'Italia finishing in Crans Montana, Switzerland, by just 74.6km.
Another day of passion, and controversy, at the Giro: Mads Pedersen did not start, ill, due to bad weather, an agreement was reached at the start between the riders and the organization to shorten the stage (which was 207 km) with the new km 0 at Le Chable, before the second climb of the day, the Croix de Coeur.
The breakaway of the day reaches the finish line: Rubio beats Thibaut Pinot (Groupama Fdj) and Alexander Cepeda (Ef Education EasyPost).
Once again, the show for the general classification is missing: all together the strongest, with Geraint Thomas keeping the pink jersey.
