Let's deal with surprises and falls

Punctual as a shot by Pogacar, here are the tops and flops dedicated to the Giro d'Italia which concluded with the surprising victory of Simon Yates .

This time we start with the negative notes that are prominent. As in the case of Primoz Roglic (-3) who retired after numerous falls. Mikel Landa's Giro (-3) ended after a hundred kilometers, again due to a fall. Also touching the asphalt were Thymen Arensman (-2), Jay Hindley (-2), Antonio Tiberi (-1), David Gaudu (-1), Giulio Ciccone (-2), and Jay Vine (-1). Things didn't go any better for riders who collected few points in the pink race or who disappointed compared to the expectations of the eve. Like Thomas Pidcock (-2), Adam Yates (-2), Pello Bilbao (-1), Daniel Martinez (-1) and Juan Ayuso (-2), the other big favorite who left the scene in the third week.

Fantacycling has changed the odds, upwards, of many riders. Obviously Simon Yates (+5), Isaac Del Toro (+6), who finished with a sensational second place, and Richard Carapaz (+4), third on the final podium.

Following in their wake are Derek Gee (+3), Damiano Caruso (+3), Giulio Pellizzari (+3), Mads Pedersen (+3), Lorenzo Fortunato (+3), Egan Bernal (+2), Einer Rubio (+2), Brandon McNulty (+1), Michael Storer (+1), Max Poole (+1), Cristian Scaroni (+2), Casper Van Uden (+1), Orluis Aular (+1), Nicolas Prodhomme (+1), and Olav Kooij (+1).
