A complete guide to the historic World Cup in Rwanda: schedule, live TV, and streaming
The 2025 UCI Road World Championships will go down in history as the first edition to be held on African soil. From September 21st to 28th, Kigali, Rwanda, will host the World Championships, which will award the coveted rainbow jerseys.
The program includes 13 events, including time trials and road races, in the Elite, Under 23, and Junior categories for both men and women, plus the Mixed Time Trial Relay. For the first time, there will be a dedicated Under 23 women's category, after three years in which the winner was drawn from the Elite race.
The expected protagonists
Despite the absences of key figures such as former world champions Mathieu van der Poel and Lotte Kopecky, the field will be stellar. Reigning champion and four-time Tour winner Tadej Pogačar will challenge Remco Evenepoel, a former world champion in both the road race and time trial. Among the women, the spotlight will be on Pauline Ferrand-Prévot and Tour winner Demi Vollering.
Where to watch the World Cup
Television coverage will be guaranteed worldwide. The UCI will offer free streaming on its YouTube channel in countries without dedicated broadcasters. In Italy, the event will be broadcast live on RAI Sport and Eurosport/Discovery+.
