Pithie and Groenewegen on the podium of the day

Second stage of the Paris-Nice , from Thoiry to Montargis, 177.6 km, almost completely flat. The group decides to tackle it at a moderate pace: the average hourly speed of the race, in fact, does not reach 38 km/h.

No runner attempts to escape and the group reaches the final kilometers. At the last kilometer Team Visma leads the group, but Olav Kooij's yellow jersey fails to position itself well. In the final straight De Kleijn accelerates at the right time and beats Pithie and Groenewegen .

Pithie, thanks to bonuses and favorable placings, gets the yellow jersey at the same time as Kooij and Pedersen. Tomorrow the first challenge for the general classification with the 26.9 km team time trial
