Jorgenson breaks away for 17, Almeida loses two minutes

Mads Pedersen won the sixth stage of Paris-Nice, from Saint Julien en Saint Alban to Berre l'Etang of 209.8 km. On the day when Jonas Vingegaard does not take the start due to yesterday's crash, something unexpected happens.

With 60 km to go, Visma and Ineos, in a stage that was supposed to favor the sprinters, bring their captains forward, giving rise to the decisive action. A small group of 17 riders forms, including Jorgenson, Skjelmose, Lipowitz and Arensman, while Uae Emirates remains outside.

At the finish line, Pedersen rejoiced, narrowly beating Joshua Tarling.

Jorgenson maintains the lead in the general classification. Joao Almeida and Brandon McNulty lose almost two minutes instead. Things are worse for Lenny Martinez, eight minutes behind.
