Pedersen and Merlier on the podium of the day

Olav Kooij won the fifth stage of the Paris-Nice, from Saint-Symphorien-sur-Coise to Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux of 212.4 km in a sprint.

In a day marked by a low pace until the preparation for the final sprint, the Jumbo Visma rider preceded Mads Pedersen of the Trek Segafredo and Tim Merlier of the Soudal Quick Step. Fourth Matteo Trentin (Uae Emirates). Tadej Pogacar retains the lead in the general classification.
