Jorgenson remains leader, Skjelmose retires

Tudor's Michael Storer won the seventh stage of Paris-Nice with a 109km uphill finish in Auron. During the stage, already shortened due to bad weather, it was still cold and snowy in some sections.

A large breakaway starts with, among others, Alaphilippe, Kung, Romeo, Storer, Schmid and Tarling while in the group Mattias Skjelmose falls and retires. On the final climb Storer stays in front and maintains a good advantage and arrives alone at the finish line. For the Australian also a big leap in the general classification.

The best arrive together with a gap of more than a minute. Matteo Jorgenson keeps the leader's jersey of the general classification.
