The Vuelta winner opens up about his anticipation of the 2025 season
Primoz Roglic ended 2024 with a great victory at La Vuelta , but he also had a lot of bad luck between the Itzulia Basque Country and the Tour de France . The Slovenian, captain of Red Bull Bora Hansgrohe , is thinking about 2025, about which he jokingly declared, but not too much "I will do the races where Tadej ( Pogacar ) will not be there".
While waiting for the new season, Roglic talks about himself and also takes a look at the last years of his career: "“When I arrived at Adria Mobil I didn't even want to be paid, I didn't even dream of competing and I didn't know anyone in cycling. I only watched the races on TV and I realized how professional cycling was. It was something crazy, but I was convinced that it was something I was capable of doing. My first salary was 300 euros.
I didn’t hesitate to sign with Jumbo because I didn’t know anything. If you don’t know what to expect and you don’t care, just do it. Then you overcome the challenges that come your way.”
Roglic then commented on the emotional epilogue of the 2020 Tour de France , with Tadej Pogacar 's victory in the final time trial against him: "I never thought about changing anything after that moment because I don't have any bad feelings about it. That result was the best I could achieve, and that's fine."
