Our analysis continues on the ten riders who scored the most points at Fantacycling in the 2022 season.

5 Primoz Roglic - 2,928 points : ironically one might wonder where did he make all these points? In the first part of the season. The Slovenian took home Paris-Nice and Dauphiné after having had to deal with a physical problem in the Basque Country that jeopardized his victory and the podium.

At the Tour he crashed in the pave stage and his dreams of glory ended immediately until he reached the early retirement. He got back in the saddle for the Vuelta in search of poker and instead, after winning a stage and the team time trial, he ended up again on the ground in a questionable sprint. BAD LUCKY

4 Jonas Vingegaard - 4,085 points: his season was entirely concentrated on the Tour de France, which swept through it, putting Pogacar in crisis also thanks to a super team like Jumbo Visma.

The Dane's feat made the fantamanagers happy who believed in him after seeing him at the Tirreno and the Dauphiné obtaining two brilliant second places. The success at the Gran Boucle, however, put him in crisis so much that he returned to the bicycle for only two stage victories at the Tour of Croatia and for a Lombardy without jolts. REVELATION

3 Remco Evenepoel - 5,034 points: 2022 was the turning point for the Belgian talent who has focused on few but good seasonal goals. The victories at Liège, San Sebastian and the World Cup arrived (all with actions from afar) and a Vuelta dominated from start to finish, to touch a score, and an upward price, as an absolute protagonist. PHENOMENON

2 Tadej Pogacar - 6.632 points : he won from February (Uae Tour) to October (bis to Lombardia). In the middle he took home the Strade Bianche (after 48 km of escape alone), Tirreno, Slovenia, Montreal and also the Tre Valli Varesine.

But this year we will especially remember the 'human' Pogacar with his crisis on the Granon at the Tour, when he lost the yellow jersey from Vingegaard. Despite the misstep, he won three stages, the youth jersey and entered the top ten nine times. WINNING

1 Wout Van Aert - 6,866 points : the Belgian is always a certainty in terms of placements even if the second places have become a little too many. However, his 2022 remains above average: he won the Omloop and the E3, one stage in Paris-Nice, 2nd at Roubaix (immediately after Covid) and 3rd at Liège, two stages at the Dauphiné, the Bretagne Classic, two second places to Bemer and Montreal and two quarters to Quebec and the World Cup.

We left it for last but only because it was his masterpiece. On the Tour, Van Aert won three stages, five podiums and the green jersey in the points. SAMPLE

To conclude a curiosity: obviously Van Aert has collected first places in the special rankings of the app for the features (and he has many). By number of points he was the best climber, puncher, cobbler, combative, cronoman, sprinter and even wingman (at Jumbo they know something).

In the Under 25 category, however, the best was Pogacar ahead of Evenepoel and Higuita.
