Tadej Pogacar will miss next Friday's E3 Saxo Classic . The world champion would have sought revenge on Van der Poel after his defeat at Sanremo and would have faced the Dutchman on the cobbles also in view of the Tour of Flanders.

Pogacar, at this point, seems oriented towards other cobblestones, those of Arenberg and the Carrefour de l'Arbre, historic cobblestone sectors of Paris-Roubaix .

The Slovenian has never participated in Roubaix, but since last month, given his reconnaissance in France, he seemed intent on racing it.
