Milan second in the sprint, Philipsen falls
Phil Bauhaus won the third stage of the Tirreno-Adriatico, from Volterra to Gualdo Tadino of 225 km.
After a long breakaway by Jan Stockli and Samuele Zoccarato, the latter caught up 22 km from the end, forcing Ef with Carapaz, Healy and Bettiol but without results.
The slightly uphill sprint is being prepared but a fall a few meters from the finish line cuts Jasper Philipsen out of the running. Bauhaus beats Jonathan Milan in a sprint. Fourth Alberto Bettiol.
