Tour de France, Stage 15: Evenepoel's incredible victory

Remco Evenepoel wins stage 15 of the Tour de France from Champagnole Plateau de Solaison   (183.9km).

In the early stages of the race, a large breakaway broke away, with a small group of six men setting off.

From behind, Visma sets the pace and wants to keep the race closed for Vingegaard , but the Dane falls on the plain and retires.

On the final climb, Simmons remained alone in the lead, while in the group Pogacar placed himself at the disposal of Del Toro: only Evenepoel remained with them.

The trio catches up with all the members of the breakaway and flies towards the finish line, while Seixas and Lipowitz try to hold off behind.

Del Toro tries to get away, but Evenepoel holds firm. In the final sprint, Evenepoel manages to beat Pogacar , with the Slovenian having made no attempt to get away from his rival in the final meters. Del Toro finishes 3rd.
