After Lampaert 's surprise victory in the inaugural time trial, the second stage of the Tour de France is ready to exalt the fast riders, but with a final open to every possibility.

The 202.2 Km from Roskilde to Nyborg will not present particular altitude difficulties, but will have the danger and the variable of the wind, in particular in the final the Storebæltsbroen , the 6790 m bridge that connects the Danish islands of Sealandia and Fionia . There, the wind could play a decisive role and the home riders, Pedersen above all, hope to exploit the pitfall in their favor.  

The script is therefore far from written, Yves lampaert who will try to defend the yellow jersey from Wout Van Aert , 5 ”behind in the general classification and also Van der Poel , ready to surprise. Quick-Step , however, hopes to keep the yellow and perhaps place a second stage win with Fabio Jakobsen , one of today's favorites.
