Brennan's hat-trick at the Vuelta España

Matthew Brennan wins the eleventh stage of the Vuelta España, from Cartagena to Lorca (152.8 km).

In the early stages of the race, a quartet of Novak, Hayter, Covi, and Fernandez broke away, with little chance of success. The group, in fact, closed in on the attackers already halfway through the stage.

Hayter and Warbasse then tried to attack again, but their attempt fizzled out after the intermediate finish line.

On the only rideable climb of the day, the Alto de Aledo , the Pinarello Q 36.5 sets the pace, but is unable to make a great selection.

In the final kilometers, several teams are working at the head of the group, which is heading towards the sprint as a compact group.

At -6 km, Visma takes command of the operations, but they do not have enough men to manage the situation even in the last 2000 meters, with the Uno-X train appearing at the head of the platoon.

However, it was Laporte and Van Aert who launched Brennan perfectly, who easily won over Coquard and Meeus .
