At the Tour of Slovenia, Team Jayco Alula is the great protagonist of the fourth stage : Filippo Zana manages to detach all his opponents on the tough climb to Kolovrat, but, on the subsequent descent, he is the author of a very bad crash, fortunately without serious consequences. Teammate Peña took advantage of it and reached the Kobarid finish line alone, despite a gearbox problem in the last kilometres. Zana consoles himself with second place in the stage and, above all, with the provisional leadership of the general classification, with only one second ahead of Ulissi, with one stage to go.

At the Tour of Belgium a real Mathieu Van der Poel show takes place : the Dutchman attacks 36 km from the finish and manages to maintain his advantage until the finish line. The attempts of some teams to return from behind were in vain. Behind him are Nys and C. Pedersen. Van der Poel also strengthens his leadership in the general standings
