Tadej Pogacar won the third stage of the Volta a Catalunya, from Sant Joan de les Abadesses to Port Ainé of 176km. For the Slovenian, the absolute dominator of the race, it is the second success after yesterday's stage.

The stage, with three mountain grand prix including the uphill finish at an altitude of 1,967 metres, was decided 7 km from the finish line when Pogacar responded to an attack by Mikel Landa who was then separated from the leader of the general classification. Pogacar arrives alone on an excellent Mikel Landa, about fifty seconds away. Podium of the day completed by an amazing Antonio Tiberi . Joao Almeida did badly while Simon Yates' bad result should be noted, who on the eve of the Volta a Catalunya was the bookmakers' second favorite for the victory: today he reached the finish line 25 minutes from Pogacar.
