Sixteen years after Franco Ballerini 's passing at the Rally Ronde di Larciano, the ASD dedicated to him continues to honor and remember the champion.

On July 25th, ASD Franco Ballerini was founded with the aim of preserving his memory and organizing events dedicated to him.
Thanks to this association, the Granfondo "La Franco Ballerini" will be organized on June 14th, a long-distance race immersed in the Tuscan landscape.

In addition to competitions, the ASD will develop training and awareness-raising activities on road safety, youth workshops and programs, as well as recreational activities aimed at building a welcoming cycling community that is attentive to the values ​​of sport. The Association will invest particularly in young people, opening a cycling school in Casalguidi. Furthermore, entertainment initiatives and solidarity projects will be offered, with a focus on the inclusion and participation of young people with disabilities, in a spirit of openness and social responsibility.
