Juan Ayuso (UAE Team Emirates) wins the Trofeo Laigueglia (1.Pro), a 197km Ligurian classic.

The race exploded on the third pass on Colla Micheri , with Storer , Ayuso , Powless and Scaroni appearing the brightest.

During the last passage Ayuso tries to attack, but Scaroni is in great shape and manages to keep his wheel. Along the descent Powless comes back to the leading pair and also Storer on the descent of Capo Mele.

The race was decided in a sprint between 4 : Ayuso took the lead in the last few hundred meters, started decisively and won by a wide margin. In second place was a sensational Scaroni , with Storer third.
