“I hope to win a stage in the Tour”, this is Santiago Buitrago 's goal for 2024. The Colombian climber from Team Bahrain Victorious spoke live at the Fantacycling Lounge , answering questions from the studio and our community.

“I'd like to go to the Tour - said Buitrago - I've done the Giro twice, I'm 24 years old and next year I'd like to go to the Tour. Not as captain, though”.

On teammate Tiberi : "I did La Vuelta last year with Tiberi and I immediately liked him as a rider and as a person."  

Then on his favorite races: “I like the Tirreno-Adriatico and I like the classics with short, hard sections, not those on the cobblestones - continued Buitrago - Last year I finished the Tour of the Alps and I took off for the Belgium. I didn't have in mind to do Liège like this, but after four, five hours I felt great and got to the podium."

On his teammates' calendar: "I think Pello Bilbao is going to the Giro d'Italia, he likes the time trial and he likes it, I see Haig at the Giro too."

Then another indiscretion: "For me next year Nairo Quintana will be very strong."
