The Spaniard reveals his goals for the new season
Carlos Rodriguez is preparing for 2024 with the expectation of being an increasingly protagonist. After fifth place at the Tour de France , with the victory of the fourteenth stage, and seventh place at the Giro di Lombardia , the Spanish talent of Team Ineos Grenadiers hopes to improve the results in 2023: “This year I was among the best and I won a stage – Rodriguez told Ciclismo a Fondo – In 2024 I hope to continue along this line, but taking a step forward and always being able to fight in the important stages with the men in the general classification”.
Rodriguez then commented on La Vuelta 2024 , which recently revealed its route: “The Vuelta 2024 has stages of great difficulty accumulated over the various days and the uphill finishes will be dangerous, they are the ones where you can make the difference. In these stages a Vuelta can be won or lost. I saw the Granada stage, in my homeland, and if there is a battle it will certainly be a great show." Finally, there was a comment on the big news of this edition, with the time trial that will close the race in Madrid: “A time trial on the last day is a different thing, it can bring emotions until the end, but it will depend on how the general classification will be . If it's fought it will be exciting."
