Netcompany Ineos delivered a tactical masterpiece at the Czech Tour: AJ August capitalized on teamwork to sprint to victory and take the leader's jersey in the second stage of the Czech stage race, crossing the finish line atop a 15km climb to Ještěd.

The British team set the pace for most of the final climb, with an impressive Ben Turner, fresh from second place in the first stage, once again sacrificing himself for his teammate. This effort put August in the ideal position for the decisive moment of the uphill sprint.

The American's strategy was textbook: after initially pushing the pace, he let Alessandro Fancellu (MBH Bank CSB Telecom Fort) lead the uphill sprint, then caught up and overtook him in the crucial final 100 meters, thus securing the stage victory.

Domenico Pozzovivo (Solution Tech NIPPO Rali) completed the podium, proving that climbing experience is never to be underestimated, even in a context where young talents seem to dictate the law.

With this success, August moves into the overall lead with a six-second advantage over Fancellu, snatching the leader's jersey from Riley Sheehan (NSN), winner of the first stage, who fought bravely but dropped out just a stone's throw from the finish line on the final ramp.
