5 stages scheduled from February 25th to March 1st
The Giro di Sardegna officially returns to the cycling calendar.
Absent since 2011, when Peter Sagan triumphed, the island race, a category 2.1, will be held in 5 stages from 25 February to 1 March.
The race was presented in Cagliari with Aru and Chiappucci as testimonials and "will be a great opportunity to enhance and promote our region through sport," said Alessandra Todde, President of the Sardinia Region.
There will be 25 participating teams with 6 WT, 9 Professional and 10 Continental.
There is no specific news yet regarding the route and startlist, although the presence of U23 world champion Lorenzo Finn seems very likely, who could ride the Red Bull Bora and go after the blue jersey reserved for the winner.
Below are the official stages of the Giro di Sardegna

February 26, Stage 2 | Oristano - Carbonia, 136.2 km
