The Belgian champion will move in 2026 bringing with him a large group of trusted collaborators

Remco Evenepoel 's move to Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe for the 2026 season has been enriched with new details: the Belgian champion will not move alone but will bring with him a real 'team within a team', made up of riders and staff he trusts.

Some moves have already been made official, such as the arrival of former Belgian coach Sven Vanthourenout – who worked with Evenepoel when he won the world and Olympic titles – while other changes are on the way.

According to Belgian media, Klaas Lodewyck, Evenepoel's current sports director at Soudal-QuickStep, will follow his captain. Frenchman Tony Gallopin, who previously worked for Team Lotto, will also join as Sports Director.

On the rider front, Evenepoel will reunite with former teammate Gianni Moscon, while Mattia Cattaneo is expected to join. Gianni Vermeersch, van der Poel's longtime domestique, is also expected to join the project.

But that's not all: the Belgian will also bring key staff members with him, such as a masseur who has known him since childhood and his cousin, a mechanic. The only person who won't be following him will be his current coach, Koen Pelgrim: Evenepoel will work with Dan Lorang, the team's performance manager.

He will also already have a large Belgian staff present, including three masseurs, a nutritionist, and coach Marc Lamberts. This massive Belgian "colonization" of the German team confirms the central role Evenepoel will have, destined to be the team's true leader ahead of Primož Roglič and Florian Lipowitz.
