Remco Evenepoel is ready to start his season and is slightly changing his plans. Initially, the Belgian was supposed to only participate in the team time trial of the 2026 Challenge Mallorca , but he has decided to also race the two most demanding events.

According to Daniel Benson, Evenepoel is also expected to take part in the Trofeo Serra Tramuntana scheduled for Friday and the Trofeo Andratx-Pollença taking place on Saturday. The world time trial champion's choice is likely aimed at getting more mileage under his belt ahead of the upcoming events: the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana and the UAE Tour .

There's no official confirmation yet; the German team has only revealed its pre-selected roster for the event, which also includes Florian Lipowitz , Aleksandr Vlasov, Maxim Van Gils, and Lorenzo Finn. The Spanish event isn't a stage race, but a series of interconnected individual events, allowing teams to change their lineups on a daily basis.

For now, Evenepoel is certain to ride a team time trial, as it will be one of the few opportunities to test himself in time trials, also with the Tour de France in mind, which this year opens with a 19-kilometer team time trial in Barcelona.
