Bad luck continues to haunt Egan Bernal : the Colombian, who fell during this afternoon's Clasica Jaen , suffered a fractured collarbone and was taken to hospital.
The Ineos Grenadiers rider had started the season in the best possible way by winning the double national title in time trial and road race; the recovery times have not yet been made known, but for an injury of this kind the stoppage is between 3 and 6 weeks. The Colombian could return for the Volta Catalunya or, more likely, for the Itzulia.
