Kevin Vauquelin wins the last stage of the Giro d'Abruzzo , from Silvi to Controguerra (182 km).

The race explodes on the first pass on the Colonella climb, with the 5-man breakaway being caught and with Conci's attack that sends Fancellu off course.

Rondel and Vauquelin followed behind the Astana rider: the trio worked together and quickly gained over a minute on the main group, which was struggling to find an agreement.

On the final climb, the three riders engaged in a tactical battle until the last few hundred meters: Rondel was the first to sprint, but Vauquelin took his wheel and beat him. Conci finished 3rd.

The Frenchman thus also wins the general classification, with 2" on Rondel and 5" on Fancellu .
