Pavel Sivakov wins the 2023 Giro della Toscana. The Team Ineos rider builds on his success by attacking at the second pass on Monte Serra, with only Carapaz remaining behind, while Pogacar is unable to keep the pace.

Then on the descent and in the final kilometers Carapaz and Sivakov consolidate the advantage, with Pogacar unable to return and not even able to stay with his teammate Großschartner .

Then, in view of the last kilometre, Sivakov pulls ahead and surprises Carapaz and goes on to win at the finish line in Pontedera.

Third place for Großschartner , while Pogacar came fourth, winning the sprint from the chasing group. Fifth place for Filippo Zana, first of the Italians, who arrives immediately ahead of Davide Formolo.
