Remember to set up your formation before the start
The Tour of Romandie will be, again this year, a real tough test for our fantamanagers. In fact, there isn't a single favorite and the conditions of several riders need to be verified.
Therefore, choosing a top formation for category 3 running will be very complicated. The route: it starts with a prologue on April 25 of 6.8 km. But there will be another time trial on Friday 28 April, 17km at Chatel-St-Denis. In between rather treacherous fractions with a tough uphill finish on Saturday 29th April at Thyon 2000 after an ascent of more than 20km. The conclusion will be Sunday in Geneva.
If there are no certainties, let's try to see who could be the protagonists at the start. We would like to mention, for a good ranking even if for some the time trials risk making a lot of difference, Gino Mader and Damiano Caruso of Bahrain Victorious, Ion Izagirre of Cofidis, Tobias Foss and Steven Kruijswijk of Jumbo-Visma, Matteo Jorgenson of Movistar, Simon Yates of Team JAyco AlUla and the twin Adam of Uae Emirates, Romain Bardet of Team Dsm, Michael Woods of Israel, Kevin Vauquelin of Arkea.
The condition of Sergio Higuita of the Bora, always in trouble in the Ardennes classics, and of Alexey Lutsenko, good at the Amstel but very bad at Liege, remains to be verified. For the stages, watch out for Magnus Cort of EF and Ethan Hayter of Ineos.
There is a lot of curiosity to see Juan Ayuso of the UAE in action, at his first race of the season. The young Iberian, victim of tendonitis, must find his rhythm and try his leg. Romandie is the right occasion.
