Yves Lampaert won the inaugural time trial of the 2024 Tour of Switzerland, with start and finish in Vaduz, Liechtenstein, of just 4 km.

The Belgian from Soudal Quick Step, already yellow jersey at the Tour de France two years ago after winning the opening time trial in Copenhagen, finished with a time of 5'05'58 at an average speed of 56.195 km/h. Three seconds behind the Swiss Stefan Bissegger, third Ethan Hayter in front   Joao Almeida , first man in the rankings.

Of note are the seventh place of Alberto Bettiol, the eighth of Stefan Kung and the twelfth of Mattias Skjelmose, winner of the race last year. However, the gaps are minimal.
