Bettiol did well: third place and top of the general classification
Thibau Nys (Lidl-Trek) wins the third stage of the Tour de Suisse, from Steinmaur to Rüschlikon (161.7 km).
Five-man breakaway made up of Jenni, Gonzalez, Lienhard, Janssen and Jacobs, with the latter remaining alone in the lead with 30 km to go. Its action ends on the Aegst am Albis gpm.
In the last 10 km, both uphill and downhill, some runners try to move forward without however being successful: thus we arrive at the final ramp (0.8 km at 7.2%), with the group selected, but compact.
Kelderman tries to anticipate the sprint, but Nys comes out with perfect timing, takes the lead and nimbly resists the return of Williams and Bettiol .
Among the men in the rankings, L.Martinez lost 16" and Vauquelin and Gall lost 25". The gold jersey passes from Lampaert's shoulders to Alberto Bettiol's.
